CHARLOTTE GARNETT MAKES ANXIETY CURING JEWELLERY

In a world of endless stresses and distractions, a constant state of anxiety has become the norm for so many. The habitual behaviours driven by our anxious feelings are the inspiration behind jewellery designer Charlotte Garnett’s “Cure for the Itch” collection.

Designed to act as an alternative to our more destructive habits, Charlotte’s stylish and tactile pieces are both aesthetically-pleasing and soothing. Her collection includes spinner rings, pocket pebbles and a brooch made of fiddle sticks, created to comfort and relax the wearer.

This meaningful approach to the creative process is present throughout Charlotte’s work. We talked to her about the personal story behind her designs, and her experiences so far as one of the first artists-in-residence at the Alexander McQueen Foundation’s new Sarabande studios.
